Description: The water seeps down along the walls, and seeps through the concrete itself. If the concrete foundation was not waterproofed correctly, the moisture will travel right through the wall and evaporate into the air in the basement space. Symptoms of this specific problem include concrete walls that feel cold, wet or damp, and the formation of mineral efflorescence, a white or coloured mineral "fuzz" or growth on the walls, may often be seen in problem areas.
